KS99 and Nyzul Isl

I have been seriously slacking on my blog so i decided to put a simple filler post until i get something really exciting to post about.

Not alot has happend since my last update. I finally got brd to 75 and have been useing it to get the much needed merits for my ninja. I had merits all over the place and in no usefull places, so i deleted about 15 merits from my char and started to re-spec him with a goal in mind. I'll let you know if it works out before i let the cat out of the bag. Since i began meriting with brd i have erned about 18 merits and placed them in places that may actually help improve my performance this time.

Bubbo, Big, Dyl, and myself gave a low man KS99 a go. We tried with a setup of RDM/NIN RDM/WHM, BRD/WHM x2 and RNG/NIN x2. We lost 2 times but we were able to get the dragon to 39% before we wiped and we did that with only 2 RNG DDs. My original plan was to have Bubbo tank as RDM/NIN but talking to her after the run made me want to try swaping the rdm tank with a 3rd RNG. The actual fight is very easy during the first 40% and the last 40%. The only hard part is when the dragon takes flight and spams some nasty AOE crap that we were'nt prepared for. I think that with 3 RNGs we can zerg that pain in the ass 20% in air phase very quickly and get him on the ground so we can breath easy. I am just waiting on a few more seals to get another orb and I'll let you know how that goes.

Enna has asked me to join his Nyzul static and they are pretty good. I almost turned him down since he passed me over a few times and only invited me when he lost his brd and I just happend to ding 75 on mine. I really cant complain since Nyzul is only friendly to war sam rdm and brd, no other jobs are allowed to play in there. It is working out so far, i was lucky to get the NIN and BRD weapons needed for the new weapon skills during my 1st and 2nd runs. I totaly wasnt expecting to get any lots for a while since i am the "FNG" (fucking new guy). As far as these new weapons go, i cant be that excited because i need to earn 5000+ weaponskill points just to unlock the new WS. This is the ultimate time sink and i doubt that i will get it any time soon. I tried for a few days just doing solo WS and some with my NPC but it was just taking to long and i got bored. As far as i know, Enna plans to do a straight climb to floor 100 using my disk. so im guessing that i wont see much chances at any gear since that requires farming certian floors multiple times. I am most excited about that assult points that i will earn doing all this. I really want a Perdu weapon soon. Im like the only person on the sever without one.

OMG WALL-O-TEXT

Now that MC is pretty much social and limbus, i have the time to focus on my Bard. This is a pretty fun job and it seems that any monkey with 1/2 a brain can do it. Its very hard to mess up because all you do is play 4 songs over and over and over and over again. This job can seriously be played with 2 macros. On the plus side of it, I have the luxury of choosing my PT becuase brd invites are very fast, i usally get 3-4 invites a day. I choose brd to lvl as my next 75 because i already have two melee classes and wanted to get a support class point of view.

Limbus has become really fun lately. We have shifted our focus from wins/chips to AF+1 items for us. Now that the runs are done by only a few people we can target certian chests. So far we have recieved the drop that we went after every time^^. Bubbo has had the most luck with 2 drops for mnk and Big with the BLM drop. now if i can only get NIN for rage and I.

After joining several EXP partys and interacting with lots of people, i am starting to notice alot of people whom i forgot about, you know, the asshat "i dont give a f##k, i think its so cool to be rude to impress the mithras" kind of players. These kind of players are the reason i hate to exp in pick up partys. Just yesterday i left a party because the leader insisted on camping on top of two other partys while tossing rude and childish remarks to them in /say. so after i left the party, i was harassed about how much of a noob i was and how i need to learn from him because he has four 75s jobs and rank 5. that made me giggle a bit.

I have been doing a crap load of campaign for the past couple of weeks. i managed to get over 80K in AN and a few merits for my NIN. Im not really sure what im going to do with all the AN yet but im sure something will come up.

After weeks and weeks of joking with Enna about soloing a UFO in sea. (i really was joking) she suprised me with and invite to get the organ. I was like "no way, yoos gunna die" then i noticed that Bubbo was in the PT. I thought to my self "well both have RDM, maybe they are just going to kite it around for an hour till it dies". Hell no!!!!!!!!! Bubbo stright tanked this big bitc# with her MNK while Enna used his RDM to enfeeble and i think i saw 1 cure 4 tossed to Bubbo. Altho all i did was stand back and watch, i was amazed at the skill of these two players. its not very often to come across players like that. I think in all the time i have played FFXI, i have seen maybe 5 players at that lvl. Another player at that skill lvl would be someone called Thelover. He was not a very trustworthy player and has since been perma banned from the game, but he could do things that i didnt think were possible and it was fun to watch him work.

Feel like i was just kicked in the face

I let myself calm down for a few days before makeing this post to prevent me from saying something i didnt mean..

Anyway, so i find out several members from the Linkshell are leaving to a new server. Fine, .. I can deal with that and easly get over it. What i can't get over is, my sister is one of them.

I'm not sure of to deal with this, i mean, do i just force myself to get over it and say " yep thats family" or, do i throw a "shit fit" and act like a selfish 2 year old? Well, i went with #2. I can't except that fact that she would choose her in-game boyfriend over her brother. I serouisly feel like some one just knocked my lolipop to the ground..

We started playing this game in 2006 on the same day, been in all the same LSs together and leraned about life in Vana'diel together, and now she just decided to up and leave with this dude and here is the bad part, i had to find out from someone else, she could'nt even tell me!!!!!!

I had to put her on my black list and ignore her on XBOX Live because i was so pissed that i was afraid that i might say something to her i would regret. Well, im starting to spool my self up again so im just going to stop here.... this really sux..

4th of July Weekend

OK, so this post has nothing to do with FFXI and everything top do with an awsome weekend i had! MY good buddy Bigearsfly invited me and my girl to head out to the river with his family for the weekend, ... how could i turn that down.. we started out the weekend with some light drinking and fishing. check out these pics of Big and my girl showing off their trophies.

Let's talk about some video game stuff for a bit first.. It seems i got a bit luck and was invited into some Nyz. Isl fun. "WHoo whoo" Faffy!!!

I recieved a brand new XBOX in the mail yesterday since my only decided to crap on me;;. I'm all kinds of stoked about it. i hated playing on a laggy ass PC. So my first day back on XBOX was no joke. We did a very fast Limbus winning us a much needed chip and bringing us that much closer to Proto-Ultima. I can't wait to fight that NM. Then, after Limbus we went straight in to some of the new ZNMs that SE so kindly blessed us with. OF course SE has a thing about makeing everything as annoying as possible soo, they decided to put a NM in a place that took us 2 hours to reach and caused at least 10 deaths. HAHA, the ZNM was no picnic either, we lost due to too many adds and a overly uber charmed MNK^^. This pic here is from diffrent ZNM but it also charmed us in a way that almost had me falling out of my seat laughing..

First Post!!

Here is the start of me new blog. its time that i had a real one instead of that "wall-0-text" i had as my last one.

I guess i'll start out by discribing myself a bit. Im a regular 26 year old dude living in southern California. the majority of my time is spent with my beautiful girlfriend, or playing FFXI(mostly FFXI^^). I have been playing this game since Sept 06. in that time i have achived a great deal of ingame goals and made lot of friends that a will never forget, here is a pic of some of them.

lol, i know, "where are the names" right? i took them out for now^^. Well now that i know how to make a proper blog, i look foward to many many updates and maybe even a cool story.
