OH Snap! Its time for the Carby Ninja to pass the torch.

Its has been a fun three and a half years adventuring in the game, but the time has come to move on. With a deployment to Iraq takeing up lots of my time, i wasnt playing very much, but after a nasty falling out with long time friend Ennayram, i just plain decided to quit. So i listed my account on EGS (it sold the same day for $450 btw!) and used the new found money to buy WOW and start a new adventure. The Transistion was actually fun. A bunch of friends also left FF and started playing WOW with me, makeing the process very enjoyable.

Well, Enna if you ever read this, sorry things turned out the way they did. i never ment to come off as dissloyal or make you think that i "hung you out to dry" but after seeing your post and your refusal to try and understand what i was dealing with... My final words to you remain the same, even though i am truely sorry and wish things turned out diffrent, I still want you to go fuck yourself then die in a fire.

For the rest of my friends, I will miss you guys. i wish you all the best and maybe one day i see you again to say hello. until then, peace out

A big thank you to MC and firends!

When you spend enough time with a group of people weird things start to happen. Take my small circle of friends for example. Enna, Ales, Dyl, and I were always a close group but when we started actually talking to each other on Skype we became like a birrion times closer and like 100% more efficient. Now take Sil and Sick. I would never normally allow anyone into the shell without SEA/SKY access much less two level 60s without it. These two players were taken under the MC wing and the entire shell pulled together and helped them gain level 75 and sea access in a very short time. HA-HA, it is very funny because they are already doing Limbus events not even having SKY yet. Don’t worry sick and sil, I will get that for you very soon.

Now for the members of MC, everyone single one is awesome. Some Skype with us from time to time keeping the bonds close with everyone. The talent we have in just awesome. We are able to do anything we want in the game and we do it while having fun. No mindless camping for hours and no boring four-hour events making you struggling to stay awake. We go in, we do what’s needed and we get out.

I truly believe that friends are what make this game fun. It is not the gear and it is not the epeen factor that everyone seems to be chasing. It’s all about the people you get to interact with everyday. I look forward to ales’s always random comments or Dyls wittiness when flirting with Enna, making fun or Rage or getting cussed out by Big. I look forward to getting one of the members of MC a drop or killing a big NM with as few players as possible just so we can talk about it for a few days. Without the MC family, I doubt I even play this game any longer. They are the reason I log on every day and I would like to thank each and every member for keeping the FFXI fire burning for so long.

ATTN: Every MeneoCecus Member

Recently I have noticed certain behaviors and actions from Linkshell members. Now I am all for joking around and having fun but when it comes time for an event, I demand every player in the party to perform to Linkshell standards. Let me explain what I mean by this.

1. Unless you were told you’re the puller - DO NOT PULL!

2. If you are a BLM, RNG, or anything that deals spike damages from afar – LET THE TANK GAIN HATE BEFORE YOU AM2, SIDEWINDER, OR OTHER HATE STEALING ABILITYS YOU WANT TO EXECUTE. If you must cast AM2, sidewinder, etc, at the start of a fight, please ensure you’re next to the mob, so that the mob does not run off ruining any skillchains. It’s very frustrating to the front line players when they are forced to chase a mob because a back line player is incapable of managing hate.

3. If you need to go AFK for any reason, even if it is only for a moment, PLEASE SAY SO! I loathe unannounced AFKs with a passion.

4. If you are only in the Linkshell 2 times a month, do not expect to gain anything anytime soon. First, I’m going to gear players who are full time in the Linkshell. Meaning, if you are a player wanting Homam gear and only show up for Limbus, you are last on the list.

5. If you were asked to come on a mage job for crowd control. Make sure to sleep the mobs and keep them slept. No one asked you to nuke, pull or heal, JUST DO WHAT YOU WERE TOLD.

There are more than just these five things but you get the general idea. There has been a serious lack in effort from the members. Take this as the first warning. If I feel that you are holding the Linkshell back, more then you are helping, then I am afraid that I will have to start trimming the fat. I care for every member of the Linkshell very much but if I need to “kill one to save a few”, then by all means I will.

I cannot do this alone. I need every members help so we can move on to other events. If we can't get through a simple limbus area without at least 2 players taking advantage of the group in some way then we will never improve. This problem needs to stop here and now.

I NEED EVERY MEMBER OF THE LINKSHELL TO POST A COMMENT ON THE BLOG SO I CAN VERIFY WHO RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE. PLEASE POST A COMMENT IN THE COMMENT SECTION, DO NOT USE THE SHOUT FOR ME BOX. THIS WILL LET ME KNOW WHO ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION.
